CMJ Music Marathon

Just found out about a free Rachael Yamagata concert at the Rockwood Music Hall for the CMJ 2011 Music Marathon from a buddy of mine. Ditching a few hours of studying to go see her! I’m so excited!!! :D Not sure who reads this, but if you’re in the area, go check it out! There’s lots of other artists playing as well.

Went on a mini road trip with my little brother to visit Wesleyan University and Boston University. On this trip, I learned a few things: Connecticut and Massachusetts have insane gas prices, CT/MA drivers drive significantly slower than NJ/NY drivers, Boston is slower paced than NYC, and the people of Boston are a lot nicer than NYC residents. Some lady came up to me first to ask me if I needed help (I was standing in front of one those large maps that the city provides for tourists). That would rarely/never happen in NYC.

Drove 8+ hours today and now my ass hurts. But the weather was absolutely beautiful today :)

Cubbyhole + RHONJ

Was at Cubbyhole Bar earlier tonight with a friend of mine, and then out of nowhere, a television crew came in and were shuffling people around to make room for a shoot they were doing inside the bar. Turns out it was an episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Now, I’ve never watched an episode, but apparently the lady that was there was “Cathy” and her lesbian sister. Interesting night to say the least.

A very accurate description of Cubbyhole. I love this bar! I’m probably here far too often. At least once every two weeks or so… Their $2 margaritas are delicious. Wish I could be there having some right now… Oh, let’s not forget hot bartender Ellen is also an incentive to go here :D

My friends and I met and spoke with Francine from The Real L Word tonight at Cubbyhole! She’s even tinier in person than she looks on the show. Always looking sharp and fierce that lady. She wouldn’t reveal anything about Claire or how coming out to her mother went. I guess we’ll just have to watch the show to find out!
